  4. I like this image becuase it is creative, and the artist has done a good job at making something made out of wood look like a real skull :)

  5. I like this image because of it's use of form. I like how the artist has hand-carved the wood, enabling it to be very detailed. I also like the use of colour, how it is a plain, natural and you can see that it is made from wood. I like how symbolic and suggestive this artwork is and how the artist has manipulated these elements and principles to create a deeper meaning.

  6. The hand carving of this, and of any work would take a great deal of time and u almost become attached to it as you place every bit of detail in its place enabaling in to have a personal significance. The form and shape is very much alike a real skull yet in some kind of cacoon, fitted around the skull. The idea of presenting the skull on its side enables us as the viewers to see inside the skull but yet to the eye, it is a mystery, seeming as if it is more than it seems, a greater meaning. The idea is sugestive and comments on the idea that 'everything is nothing'. The elements and principles portray this idea that Swallow created.
